The Specification of the finishes, metalwork covers and other goods may be subject to change over time. All our furniture and manufactured products are handmade and therefore subject to minor variations and as such all dimensions stated are approximate and are as accurate as their handmade nature allows.
All orders are subject to acceptance by Oxley’s Furniture Ltd (Oxley’s)and are not confirmed and accepted by Oxley’s until the deposit is received. Notification of our acceptance will be in the form of a printed Sales Order. Please review your order carefully. The item codes contained on your Sales Order shall be the final expression of the order unless the customer notifies Oxley’s in writing within five days of the date of the order of any corrections or changes to it. Accepted orders are subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, notwithstanding any variance in terms and conditions set forth on the customer’s order form.
ORDER LEAD TIME
Oxley’s furniture is all handmade to order, which sets it apart from normal mass produced products. Notwithstanding this, orders are normally available for delivery within 28 working days from the date of confirmation by deposit. An accurate estimate of the delivery date will be written on the printed Sales Order. Delays to delivery can occur due to the seasonal nature of our products and due to the complexity of manufacturing many individual and diverse orders. The precise time of production and delivery is not a condition of sale.
We require a 50% deposit with all orders. Payment of the balance is due prior to delivery and all goods shall remain the property of Oxley’s until the full amount on the invoice has been paid for.
United Kingdom Deliveries: The vast majority of UK orders are delivered by our own staff and transport. If you wish for the goods to be delivered to a particular location within the delivery address, you should ensure that there is reasonable access for each item (please review our price list that encompasses all the dimensions of the furniture to cross reference with your access areas). We will not remove doors from Hinges or make other physical alterations to gain access. If we have to use a third party company for delivery this will be to kerbside delivery only unless prior agreement has been made. Oxley’s takes photographs of all finished furniture prior to dispatch. We will keep these on record to ensure there is no ambiguity if in the unlikely event an item(s) is damaged in transit by a 3rd party.

Overseas Deliveries: Overseas deliveries are delivered to Kerbside only, unless prior agreement has been made before hand to arrange for a 2man delivery. When orders are delivered internationally many hours are spent in our factory preparing the furniture by wrapping each individual item prior to boxing.
When the furniture arrives at your home we ask all our customers to check it before signing the delivery note, to confirm that it has not been damaged or lost in transit. Oxley’s takes photographs of all finished furniture prior to dispatch. We will keep these on record to ensure there is no ambiguity if in the unlikely event an item(s) is damaged in transit by a 3rd party.
Once Oxley’s have delivered to the agreed destination and everything has been signed for in good condition then Oxley’s cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items after this time. Please refer to our unpacking & maintenance document for the appropriate guidelines to ensure your furniture remains in excellent condition
CUSTOMERS OWN TRANSPORT
Customers are also welcome to organise collection of their furniture from our factory. Oxley’s takes no responsibility for lost and damaged items from when the goods leave the factory.
If no one is in on the day of delivery and Oxley’s have not been informed prior to delivery then a re-delivery charge will apply.
If our customers cannot accept delivery of the furniture when it is ready, we are able to store it (within reason) on the condition we are given a new week for delivery in which we can arrange a delivery day and time. Long term storage will incur storage charges of £100 per week (nett) based on 100 square feet of warehouse space
Any returns regardless of reason must be approved in writing by Oxley’s Furniture Ltd and are not allowed without our written consent. Returns are subject to our shipping instructions.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Changes and cancellations must be requested in writing to our office and are not allowed without our written consent. When production has begun, cancellation will incur a re-stocking charge. Custom (bespoke) pieces and adaptations to standard pieces may not be cancelled. Changes are acceptable subject to our ability to comply and may involve extra charges and delays in delivery. Completed orders that remain unpaid for a period of 6 months after the promised delivery date are considered, by default, to be cancelled and subject to deposit forfeiture and additional charges, unless a deferred delivery date has been mutually agreed upon.
