Kin House

Grade II listed Boutique Hotel, Wiltshire, United Kingdom | Luxury Hotel Outdoor Furniture

Oxley’s was commissioned to provide high-end poolside lounging for Kin House, a restored 17th-century Grade II listed manor in North Wiltshire. Working alongside the renowned Barlow & Barlow Interior Design, we supplied a mix of standard and bespoke loungers to complement the estate’s vibrant, eclectic aesthetic for the 2025 summer season.

The Creative Brief
The challenge for Kin House was to bridge the gap between the manor’s historic architecture and a fresh, contemporary pool area designed for high-end events, weddings, and private hire. Lucy Barlow of Barlow & Barlow required furniture that could withstand the high-traffic demands of a boutique hotel while maintaining a very specific colour palette.

The brief called for premium all-weather sun loungers that offered both individual relaxation and social “daybed” style seating, requiring a mix of standard manufacturing and bespoke fabrication.

The Solution
To meet the designer’s vision, Oxley’s utilized our signature powder-coated aluminium, ensuring the furniture is entirely rust-proof and durable enough for commercial hospitality use. While the single loungers were part of our core Octavia National Trust collection, we engineered bespoke double sun loungers to provide the generous proportions required for the pool’s focal points.

The frames were finished in two distinct, durable coatings: our refreshing Mint Blue and a new custom deep red that was selected from RAL samples. We loved this colour so much that Claret is now part of our core palette of high performance finishes. These were expertly by Lucy and her team with high-performance Pierre Frey outdoor fabrics, proving that luxury aesthetic and “marine-grade” durability can coexist seamlessly in an English garden setting.

The Outcome
The result is a striking, colourful poolside retreat that enhances the “fun-filled luxury” reputation of Kin House. By opting for luxury aluminium outdoor furniture, the venue is equipped with a long-term, low-maintenance solution that will retain its structural integrity and colour vibrancy through years of guest use and seasonal weather.

We were delighted with how the project turned out and we already have plans to supply this incredible venue and team with more outdoor furniture to support their parties and weddings.

Private Residence, Belgravia

London, United Kingdom | Bespoke Residential Garden Project

This project in the heart of Belgravia showcases Oxley’s ability to solve the logistical complexities of urban garden design. Tasked by Stacy Louise Interiors, we re-engineered our classic Sienna collection to navigate the narrow access constraints of a traditional London townhouse without compromising on scale or luxury.

The Creative Brief & Site Challenges
Luxury residential projects in Central London often face the significant hurdle of restricted access. For this elegant Belgravia home, the rear garden was inaccessible from the street, meaning all furniture had to pass through narrow interior hallways. The client refused to compromise on the size of their dining setting, but a standard, fully-welded Sienna 2140 dining table was physically impossible to maneuver into the space. The challenge was to deliver a “grand-scale” dining experience within a “small-access” environment.

Our Solution
Oxley’s expertise in bespoke aluminium manufacturing allowed us to move away from a one-piece construction. Our engineering team redesigned the Sienna table into a modular component system. The legs and the tabletop frame were cast and finished separately, allowing for safe transit through the property’s interior.

Once in position, the table was assembled and bolted together, ensuring the same lifetime stability as our welded pieces. We further customized the piece by replacing the traditional metal top with a bespoke black glass surface, reducing the weight for installation and providing a sharp, contemporary contrast to the classic Sienna lines.

Beyond the dining space, two Sienna lounge chairs were specified for a terrace overlooking the garden and these were carefully manoeuvred through the property.

Furniture Supplied

  • Bespoke Sienna 2140 Dining Table: Re-engineered for on-site assembly with a custom black glass top.
  • Sienna Armchairs: Crafted from sand-cast aluminium with Ecru luxury outdoor cushions.
  • Sienna Lounge Chairs: Positioned for the upper terrace.
  • Bespoke Sienna Coffee Table: Similarly re-imagined with a custom black glass top but this time as one solid structure.
  • Tailored Protective Covers: Custom-fitted to ensure year-round protection in an urban environment.

The Outcome
The Belgravia project demonstrates that site constraints need not dictate design quality. By adapting our manufacturing process, we provided a substantial, high-end outdoor dining solution that fits perfectly within the architectural context of the home. The client now enjoys a seamless transition from indoor luxury to outdoor elegance, supported by furniture built to last a lifetime.

Secret_Garden_Design_Hero

In collaboration with the wonderful Carolyn Grohmann of Secret Garden Design

Set high on a wooded hillside above a historic Scottish town, this distinguished Arts and Crafts home has been reimagined with a sensitive, design-led approach to its garden. The new landscape design by Carolyn embraces both the architectural detail of the house and the natural fall of the site, creating layered spaces that unfold gradually, with a clear sense of place.

We were invited to supply outdoor furniture for the newly curated outdoor family area, a west-facing terrace designed for entertaining. At its centre sits a bespoke ten-seat dining set in our Matt Black finish – quietly sculptural against the soft red tones of the herringbone pavers and surrounding gravel, this set features an Artemis 2.85m table and 10 elegant Artemis Armchairs. Cushions in Sunbrella Ochre offer a warm, subtle contrast and a tactile accent that responds to both stone and planting.

Further along a sheltered path to the rear of the house, a Rissington bench in the same Matt Black and Ochre scheme offers a more contemplative moment, a place to pause, away from the main terrace, with glimpses through the planting and the town beyond.

As with all Oxley’s pieces, the furniture was made to order from recycled aluminium, designed to last for generations, and will endure the challenging Scottish climate in a way that other materials could not.
