We believe in making traditional English garden furniture that will outlive every one of us. Explore our various designs below.
Our Petrosphere design is inspired by what we believe to be neolithic art, the carved stone balls left behind by the ancient peoples who lived in the British Isles from about 5,000 years ago. No one knows what these intricate carvings were for or how, at a time before metal usage, they were carved. Our belief is that they were carved for their tactile feel and we have incorporated this idea into our Petrosphere design. We have used one of the most intricate designs found as the basis of all our Petrosphere table tops and the tactile element in the armchair.
An Oxley’s design since 2024.
In collaboration with the National Trust, the Octavia Collection takes its design inspiration from a detail from an 1872 pen and ink drawing of an herbaceous border by the 19th-century garden designer Gertrude Jekyll. The prominent flower pattern is replicated in the back, arm and seat of the chair as well as the tabletop in beautifully intricate detail. Designed specifically with a typical English garden in mind, furniture like it (originally made in cast iron) would have been found in large gardens for nearly 200 years.
The beautiful interlacing lines of our Scroll collection are inspired by stone carvings left around the British Isles by the ancient Celts. Although these carvings vary significantly in pattern, at the heart of them all is the Celtic knot. This simple endless weave has no obvious start or finish and is thought to represent eternal life. Naturally, for furniture like ours – built to last a lifetime and beyond – it is the perfect symbol to cast forever into a design.
Our Artemis design is inspired from the Curule seat dating back to ancient Rome, named after the Greek Goddess of hunting. This powerful design was used by the highest government dignitaries and was a symbol of authority. We have adapted the original armchair design for spectacular comfort with or without a cushion. The intricate swirling lines of the armchair back design are replicated in the Artemis tabletop, with the chair leg arch mirrored in the legs of the table. A stunning design that will make statement in any outdoor setting.
The Ancient Egyptians used a great deal of animal imagery in their temples and artefacts and this design is named after their ancient capital, Luxor. The armchair design features a lion’s head on each arm of the chair and lion’s head motif on the seat back, with a lion’s claw detail on each foot. The table design features lion’s claw feet on the legs and a swirling flower pattern on the tabletop. The Luxor design is a true symbol of the power and elegance.
The Sienna design is one of our most popular as it belongs in both contemporary and classic locations. The diamond detail of the seat back can be referenced in buildings old and new. Under the cushion the seat has a beautiful basket and weave design. The deep casting of the tabletop demonstrates the fabulous quality of this collection, durable furniture has never looked so stunning.
Our Grande design harks back to the baroque period of 18th century France. The extremely intricate detailing on both the chair and tabletop can only be achieved through sand casting and creates a throne like effect. A design like this only has to be seen to know it will still be in use in generations time, an example of our flawless craftsmanship.
Our high backed Casa chair has a latticework back and seat which makes it extremely comfortable for prolonged sitting, with or without a cushion. Although we only make two round tables in this Casa design the chair does go well with many of the other table designs we make.
"Our original set of table and chairs are over 15 years old but they still look great. Lightweight, resilient and good looking, they have been excellent. So much so that we bought a second set for elsewhere. After sales service is second to none and staff, both manufacturing and office are charming."
Mr JH
"I have been so impressed with your excellent customer service and, of course, the lovely product delivered yesterday, I just had to get back and thank you directly. I was kept up to date throughout the whole process and the delivery driver was as professional and as charmingly friendly as anyone could wish. I am a very, very satisfied customer. I wish you and the Oxley's company every success in the future."
Mr MJ
"I purchased four Artemis chairs and matching table in 2010. I have just been outside tidying up the garden in preparation for the Spring - which included giving the set a quick jet wash. I was so taken aback at how good the set still looks after over 10 years, that I felt compelled to write a review. They look as good as the day I bought them. They are absolutely fantastic quality and have been a great investment!"
Mr CK
"We purchased a table and chairs from Oxley's over the summer which we absolutely love. The quality of the service and the experience of buying was outstanding, with lots of assistance and advice. The table and chairs were finished in a stunning antique gold with matching cushions and you can really see the quality of the design and materials. They are also very solid and you know they will endure anything the British weather throws at them. The prices are premium reflecting the quality of the craftsmanship, but if you want furniture that looks great and will last for generations then it is excellent value for money. Thank you Oxley's!"
Mr MQ
"We have one of Oxley's round tables with 6 chairs that we bought about 12-14 years ago. It is a fantastic bit of kit and is as elegant as the day we bought it."
Mr SCP
"As a garden designer I have worked with Oxley's for many years. They are delightful people to work with. They are organised, efficient and extremely friendly. But most importantly, they create stunning furniture which is of a very high quality. I am particularly fond of their Artemis range and always look forward to projects where a place can be found for an Artemis table and chairs or a two seater bench. The finishes are long lasting and the colours both elegant and classical. I highly recommend Oxley's Furniture."
Mrs CG
"I bought an Oxley's table and chairs seating 8 persons approximately 25-30 years ago. I must say again, how delighted I have been with the garden furniture and it has been much admired by friends. It is not only extremely durable, but extremely elegant."
Mrs JB
"I am absolutely delighted with my new table and chairs, they look beautiful as a centrepiece in my garden all year round. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Oxley's Furniture, they were professional, extremely helpful and everything arrived perfectly and on time."
Mrs JMH
"We bought sofas, chairs, occasional tables and lounge chairs from Oxley's and had them shipped to our island home in the Caribbean. From start to finish, Oxley's ensured that every detail was correct and exactly as we wanted. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We would recommend the company without reservation."
Mrs LB
"My set of garden furniture is very well-travelled and has lived in Bath, where I first bought it in 1995, then France and now Lyminton. It has worn really well and was recently renovated by Oxley's so it is brand new again. Being made of recycled aluminium, they've already had a lifetime of service and with the lovely new finish they're good for many more years so they're great value. Oxley's collected the furniture as arranged and then delivered them back to my home refinished and looking glorious to the exact spot I requested. I'm delighted and looking forward to summer entertaining."
Mrs LF
Yes, the way in which Oxley’s furniture is manufactured means that it can be left outside all year, every year no matter where in the world it is situated. We make our luxury outdoor furniture to last generations with no maintenance required.
Our luxury furniture is sustainable, guaranteed for life, weatherproof and made unique to each customer. Therefore, the old saying “you get what you pay for in life” is particularly appropriate with Oxley’s. It is more expensive than most aluminium furniture, this is because building furniture designed to last generations is a complex activity that requires great skill and attention to detail. It is not a process that can be rushed or done with cheap components. If you consider the price of our luxury outdoor furniture as an investment over, say 25 years, it is extremely good value for money.
Oxley’s offer a range of 15 plain colours, and furniture orders can be ordered in any particular RAL colour that you wish to specify*. We also offer 3 classic colours which are slightly more expensive. These 3 colours; Antique Gold, Titanium and Tuscan White are all finished by hand and take a great deal of skill and extra time to create. Which is why they are slightly more expensive in price.
*subject to RAL’s colour availability as a polyester powder coat.
Our standard range of fabrics are from Boyriven and are made from 100% solution dyed acrylic that is both waterproof and soft to the touch. This is a range of plain colours that will work well with contrasting lumbar and scatter cushions.
Our enhanced fabrics are from JAB International, one of the worlds leading fabric suppliers. These fabrics are made from Teflon coated 100% Polypropylene that passes a 30,000 Martindale Rub test, making it an extremely resilient yet opulent fabric. These fabrics come in a range of colours and patterns and are priced slightly higher than our standard range.
Due to every order being made specifically for each customer, our online orders come with a 4-6 week lead time for our UK customers. Delivery outside the UK is subject to delivery location.

For you it means you can own the furniture you want, risk free.
