Bespoke Curved Luxor Sofa, Private Residence

Following a long-standing relationship with a private client, Oxley’s was commissioned to design a one-of-a-kind curved seating solution for a newly landscaped terrace area. Working from sketch drawings and a site visit to confirm measurements, we engineered a seamless, multi-sectional sofa and matching coffee tables to integrate perfectly with the client’s existing Luxor collection.

The Brief & Design Challenge
The challenge lay in manufacturing with precision. The client had recently re-landscaped their garden and included a curved section of their stone terrace that required a substantial lounging piece that mirrored the exact radius of the new stonework. To maintain aesthetic continuity, the new furniture had to match their existing Oxley’s pieces in both silhouette and patina. Standard linear furniture would have felt awkward and disjointed in the space; the brief required a solution that felt “built-in” to the landscape while remaining functional for a private residence.

The Solution
Our design team translated the landscape designer’s hand-drawn sketches into CAD drawings and a technical fabrication plan for a bespoke four-piece curved sofa. By engineering the sofa in four interlocking sections, we ensured the piece was easy to transport and install while maintaining a seamless, singular appearance once bolted together on-site.

To complement the curve, we fabricated two matching bespoke curved coffee tables designed to sit flush against the sofa’s arc. Every element was hand-finished in our signature Bronze Verdigris, a complex, multi-layered finish that emulates the natural aging of bronze.

The Outcome
The result is a striking statement piece that demonstrates the flexibility that sand-cast aluminium can achieve. By working with the landscape’s geometry and layout, the furniture feels like a natural extension of the garden and home. This project highlights our ability to collaborate directly with landscape designers to solve spatial challenges, ensuring that even the most complex garden layouts can be furnished with beautiful furniture that will endure through the decades.

From the initial conceptual drawings to final installation, the entire bespoke process was completed in just four months.
