Furniture Built to Last a Lifetime Outdoors

At Oxley’s, every piece of furniture begins with aluminium, a metal chosen for its strength, lightness, and ability to endure outdoors for generations, even in harsh environmental conditions.

Unlike iron or steel, aluminium will never rust. Unlike timber, it will never rot, warp, or decay. Unlike rattan, it will not become brittle and crack. It is a material of durability and longevity, and is perfectly suited to the outdoors.

Shaped by tradition,
built for longevity

We shape this metal using the traditional technique of sand casting. Each component is formed in a hand-prepared sand mould, a process that has been used for centuries to make objects of character and longevity. The result is solid aluminium parts with intricate design detail and the weight and substance that simply cannot be achieved with mass-produced alternatives.

As well as producing our own designs, this technique lends itself to crafting one-off bespoke pieces that would be either too difficult or prohibitively expensive to produce through machine methods.

Strength, beauty, and durability in every detail

Once cast, every piece is refined, finished, and carefully assembled. Joints are welded for strength, surfaces smoothed for comfort, and then each component is powder coated to create a flawless, weather-resistant finish. It is a marriage of traditional craft and modern technology, ensuring that the furniture you place in your garden today will remain there for decades to come.

At Oxley’s, aluminium is more than a material. It is the foundation of furniture designed to last a lifetime, and to be enjoyed for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions...

  • What is the different between Oxley's plain and classic colours?

Oxley’s offer a range of 15 plain colours, and furniture orders can be ordered in any particular RAL colour that you wish to specify*. We also offer 3 classic colours which are slightly more expensive. These 3 colours; Antique Gold, Titanium and Tuscan White are all finished by hand and take a great deal of skill and extra time to create. Which is why they are slightly more expensive in price.

*subject to RAL’s colour availability as a polyester powder coat.

  • Can you leave Oxley's furniture outside all year?

Yes, the way in which Oxley’s furniture is manufactured means that it can be left outside all year, every year no matter where in the world it is situated. We make our luxury outdoor furniture to last generations with no maintenance required.

  • How to clean aluminium outdoor furniture?

The most effective way to clean aluminium outdoor furniture is with some warm water, car shampoo, a soft brush and a soft rag. This combination is the best way to get unwanted dirt and grime off your furniture. Luxury aluminium furniture should be maintenance free so there should be minimal cleaning required each year.

  • How much customisation can I specify?

We always say that every we set of furniture we have ever produced is unique. We do have 18 furniture colours available in our brochure but you can specify the furniture to be finished in any RAL colour you like. We can even match colours if they don’t exist as RAL colours. For cushions, you can choose from any of the suppliers who make outdoor fabrics anywhere around the world, 10,000’s of options! And finally we can make bespoke furniture out of our normal collections with the requisite timescale.

  • Is aluminium outdoor furniture suitable to be by the sea?

Life by the sea for most man-made products is extremely difficult. The air is full of salt carried from the sea by evaporation and wind, wind which is generally far stronger than inland. Salt is exceptionally corrosive to most of the materials from which outdoor furniture is made. Oxley’s furniture has a powder coat finish that is applied in a unique way with precision and care. This means that out of any outdoor furniture in production, Oxley’s furniture will resist the natural elements in a seaside location best.
