Sustainability
Sustainability is an overarching trend at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. Sustainability is a key theme throughout Chelsea, with many spaces looking at ways materials can be used for longer, recycled or repurposed. Last year, a new competition was initiated for sustainable garden product of the year. This was to highlight the increasing awareness that consumers want more environmentally friendly products to choose from for their gardening needs. You may have spotted a friendly face in the list of finalists; Casa by Oxley’s has been selected as a finalist for sustainable garden product of the year 2022. Sanctuary Gardens
Sanctuary gardens are back for another year. A sanctuary garden is designed to have healing and peaceful qualities and aims to recreate the serenity of nature. Following on from the success of last year’s balcony and container garden categories, small space gardening returns for 2022. This trend aims to inspire people lacking outdoor space with wonderfully thought-out designs and innovative ideas for small spaces. Proving that, even with limited space, anyone can create their own little garden oasis.
