At Oxley’s we have been producing bespoke, luxury outdoor furniture using recycled aluminium in timeless and classic designs since 1991. For over 30 years we have been manufacturing fine quality fabricated and sandcast aluminium outdoor furniture from our factory based in the Cotswolds. Our components come from foundries where only the highest-grade alloys are created by carefully refining and mixing different grades of recycled aluminium.

Each piece of furniture we make is made individually to our customers requirements. We make our furniture from 100% recycled aluminium and go to extreme lengths to give our aluminium furniture the best possible treatment.
Our luxury aluminium outdoor furniture is made in a combination of castings and profiles. The aluminium we use may have come from an old aeroplane, alloy wheels or even a drinks can. The recycled aluminium is melted down and then poured into sand moulds which have been shaped to form the original hand carved design. The metal cools in its own time and then the mould is broken to extract the new casting, each mould can only be used once. Each casting is then worked by hand until it is ready to be welded to another casting, each item is built up slowly using many individual pieces.
After the welding process, we linish each item to get rid of any rough edges. The pieces are then placed in a shot blaster and pelted at enormous velocity with manganese shot which creates a physical key for the paint process. The primer coat is then applied and placed into our oven to be baked at a high temperature. We also sometimes do a hand painted effect on our furniture, if requested, to achieve our classic finishes which have a beautiful patina design.
The furniture is then matched up with the customer’s choice of cushions, with fabrics chosen from any of the world’s greatest fabric houses. The items are then carefully wrapped and packaged up and sent to their final destination to be enjoyed for many years to come.
