The process that our furniture goes through means that it will last for generations, providing our customers with the best quality furniture available.
Our luxury aluminium outdoor furniture is made in a combination of castings and profiles. For the casting, recycled and regraded molten aluminium is poured into sand moulds which have been shaped to form the original hand carved design. The metal cools in its own time and the sand mould is then broken to extract the new casting, each mould can only be used once. The castings are then worked by hand until it is ready to be welded to another casting or profile, each item is constructed as one over numerous hours from many individual castings.
Once each piece is constructed from raw aluminium, we then begin our state-of-the-art finishing process. Firstly, we blast each piece with manganese shot at enormous velocity. This removes any rough edges and creates a very fine sandpaper effect which provides a physical key for the etch primer and powder coating layer. The primer is applied and baked at a high temperature in our oven, this process is then repeated with the powder coating layer. Finished in the customer’s choice of colour.
Each individual piece goes through final checks by the Oxley’s team, ensuring there are no imperfections, and it is of the highest quality possible. Our luxury outdoor furniture is then paired with the customer’s choice of cushions, wrapped and packaged up ready for delivery.
